Vacuum
The Vacuum group (VAC) at the European XFEL is responsible for the the design, installation, operation, service and maintenance of the Photon Vacuum System and of the control system in the photon tunnels (also for the XRO group, the XPD group and for the Scientific Instruments). It provides 24/7 on-call service for the vacuum system and support of the Scientific Instruments and other groups in all vacuum-related matters.
