Chemical laboratories have common equipment for preparation of samples and standards for various experiments using of liquid and solid samples. They house traditional equipment including glassware, balances, hot plates, etc. More specialized equipment includes a vacuum oven, plasma system, UV-VIS spectrophotometer.
Workspace on benches and under fumehoods which can be requested during beamtime application. Please check with the Sample Environment and Characterization team, if the rooms are equipped for the samples and reagents you need to handle. Safety procedures have to be agreed on with the user support team, and the European XFEL Safety and Radiation Protection group well before the work starts.
