Sample Environment & Characterization
The Sample Environment & Characterization (SEC) group develops sample delivery methods for all scientific instruments and operates the user laboratories for sample preparation, characterization and delivery.
Activities of the group include preparation, characterization and delivery of biological samples, liquid jets, aerosol sources, fast solid sample scanners and magnetic and cryogenic sample environments. The SEC group operates the European XFEL User Laboratories and supports users in the labs.
