European XFEL Season’s Greetings 2008
Dear friends of the European XFEL project,
The European XFEL Project Team wishes you a happy holiday season and a peaceful year 2009!
The European XFEL will begin the New Year with an important event which will really get the project going. The civil engineering works for the underground tunnels, shafts and buildings will start on all three construction sites on 8 January! Other milestones will follow shortly: the foundation of the not-for-profit company European XFEL GmbH in spring and a few weeks later the ground-breaking for the experiment hall in Schenefeld.
The European XFEL team is also growing steadily and has settled in well in its new offices at Albert-Einstein-Ring 19. In total, we are now 27 colleagues from seven nations.
