Members of the European XFEL community have been taking part in a competition to capture stunning photographs of our campus. All European XFEL staff members were invited to send in their photos from June to November 2022. All photos had to be taken at European XFEL, with each photo falling into one of the following three categories: Nature, People, Technology. We accepted up to five pictures per person, per month.
An impartial jury sifted through the submitted pictures and chose the Jury Award winners for each category. Additionally, all staff was invited to look at all the pictures and chose a Staff Award winner.
The impartial jury voted their ten favourite photos in the three categories. 132 photos were submitted by 22 different staff members, and 131 staff members voted their three favourite photos.
