Mohammed Sekkal
Mohammed is a PhD student at the Femtosecond X-ray experiments (FXE) instrument. His project aims to investigate the ultrafast structural dynamics of mixed-ligand photo-catalytically active Cu(I) dye photosensitizers, the influence of the ligand structures and different solvents environments on their photochemical outputs (e.g., catalytic efficiency, excited-state dynamics). This is done using complementary ultrafast pump-probe scattering and spectroscopic techniques at bright synchrotron/XFEL radiation facilities (e.g., EuXFEL, DESY).
