The European XFEL's Xcool Lab is a free offer for interested school classes of all school types. Here, students can investigate scientific questions and analyse them experimentally.
The Xcool Lab enables hands-on learning through research-related courses with links to school curricula. It consists of two state-of-the-art laboratories for physics and biology/chemistry. Students have the opportunity to experience science first-hand.
Since summer 2024, it is now possible to do a voluntary year at our EuXFEL facility. This program is intended as a gap year for high school graduates and lasts one year. If you are interested, you can find more information and experience reports from former volunteers below.
European XFEL has developed a comprehensive set of Open Educational Resources (OER) on virus research aimed at senior high school students.
The online-publication Science in School provides teachers access to educational material concerning current research.
