Another year is about to pass—a year full of good results for the European XFEL. Here is a selection:

• The boring of our accelerator tunnel was finished¹.
• The modulator hall was completed.
• First accelerator parts arrived².
• Our first undulators were delivered.
• We strengthened our international network^3,4,5,6,7,8.
• Conceptional design reports of instruments and the X-ray beamlines were published⁹.
• We will deliver even better X-ray flashes¹⁰.
