Title: Requirements Management in Automotive Industry
Abstract:
Requirements management (RM) is the process of analyzing, documenting,
tracing and managing the change of requirements throughout a whole
project lifecycle. Motivation is to safe costs and avoid errors by
comprehensive understanding of the system requirements and a clear
breakdown and communication to the underlying sub-systems. Industry has
developed an elaborate and effective set of methods that are published
as standards e.g. by IEEE. Projects in automotive industry typically
have high production volume and high safety relevance at the same time,
thus RM is even more important. This talk will give an introduction into
the methods of RM in automotive industry and demonstrate the benefits
throughout project development from the initial elicitation of the
requirements with the stakeholders until the final test of the system.
