Engineer (f/m)
The position
- mechanical layout of photon diagnostics devices, including CAD design of placeholder and production models: vacuum chambers, motion stages
- selection of standard components for photon diagnostics systems
- participation in the design and construction of an X-ray monochromator for photon-beam based commissioning of the undulators
- participation in the design and construction of a 2D beam imaging station
Requirements
- degree in engineering, electronics engineering or equivalent
- proven record of projects on hard- and software control of experimental setups
- manual hands on experience and skills
- proven software programming skills for the control of measurement hardware under LabWindows/C, LabView
- experience in electronics, motion control systems, magnetic measurements and techniques
- team orientation: Willingness to collaborate with others, to adopt and, if needed, improve existing techniques, software and hardware tools
- background in accelerator and/or Synchrotron Radiation labs is welcome
- organization skills
- communicative and collaborative personality
