Scientist explains X-ray laser science at Hamburg's "Science on Tap"
Bressler lecture among 30 in bars and pubs across city in special event
On the evening of 15 October, across 30 of Hamburg's bars and pubs, scientists from several institutes gave short public lectures on their work in a variety of fields as part of Hamburg's "Wissen vom Fass" event. European XFEL leading scientist Christian Bressler gave a short talk at the Blaues Barhaus in Hamburg's Ottensen quarter on watching chemical reactions and molecular movements occur, one of the capabilities of several instruments at the European XFEL facility. Around 40 people crowded into the darkly lit pub to hear Bressler's talk, entitled "Tanzende Moleküle als Filmstars" ("Dancing Molecules as Film Stars").
