Cooperation agreement with University of Hamburg signed

The signing of the official contract gives impetus to the cooperation of the University of Hamburg and the European XFEL.

With their signature, representatives of the European XFEL GmbH and the University of Hamburg today formalized the cooperation between the European XFEL and the School of Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences (MIN) at the University of Hamburg in research and teaching. The main focus will be on exchanging know-how, implementing joint research projects, providing mutual access to experimental facilities and promoting students, PhD students and young scientists.

The managing director of the European XFEL GmbH, Professor Massimo Altarelli, and the dean of the School of Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences, Professor Heinrich Graener, agree: “In practice, we have been cooperating successfully for several months on various projects. Now we have the formal basis that will allow our young cooperation to really pick up momentum.”
