France now official partner too

As the 11th partner country, France today officially sealed its participation in the European XFEL project.

On the occasion of the French-German government consultations in Paris, the French Research Minister Valérie Pécresse signed the Convention and the Final Act for the construction and operation of the European XFEL. The official signing ceremony of the Convention, which took place on 30 November 2009 in Hamburg (see News 30.11.2009), was attended by high-ranking representatives from ten European countries. For internal reasons, France had been prevented from partaking in the ceremony at that time.
